“For about a year, my children encouraged me to join Powershop Gym small groups. I lifted weights consistently in college. I also ran, inconsistently for 3 decades. I was at a point where I needed consistency and motivation in both exercise and nutrition. I joined Powershop Gym in August 2018 and I am very grateful to come here!
I’m challenged every time I go (3-4 days a week) whether by the workout or the training coach. I focus on a couple exercises within the 30 minutes to go above and beyond. We always say we never regret going! I am always working on improving the movement of every exercise, but currently working on the height of my box jumps and perfecting core movements.
For me, the food part has always been a struggle, but thankfully, I FINALLY figured it out! Approaching 50 and always have enjoyed working out, I wanted something that held my attention and challenged me. I get that and much more at the Powershop! For me, its been a mental, emotional, and physical boost to lose weight and tone up during small group training. Groups are from all walks of life and ages 20 (occasionally a teen attends) to 60/70’s.
