This is taken from a book called “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson
I referenced this book before, but I think this section should be read several times. I am a procrastinator..no one needs to tell me this, I live it. I am not proud of it, and am continuously striving to remedy it. While I joke about it, there is serious consequences to it.
Every incomplete promise, commitment and agreement saps your strength, because Incomplete things keep calling you back to the past to take care of them….WOW yes, they do.
Are there things that are incomplete in your life?
Unpaid bills, taxes, agreements..things borrowed that need to be returned..is there someone who needs to hear you say “I’m sorry, I forgive you, I love you “ etc.. Do you have unfinished projects, unkept promises..the list could go on and on..
Each and every incomplete thing in your life or work exerts a draining force on you..keeping you from being successful..take on any one of your incompletes one at a time..baby steps.. give 15 minutes to completing something everyday.
Each time you do complete something, you get to move on with your luggage a little lighter and a bit more of a spring in your step.
Take care and stay healthy!
