I’ve been a Powershop member since 2000. I work out 4 -5 days a week, 3 days a week small group training, so that I can:
1) have other adventures and not feel like a weekend warrior (Boundary Water canoe trips, 5 days of skiing in Colorado, sailing, climbing the Great Wall of China etc)
2) so that I feel good and get rid of stress.
3) so I can indulge in some really good food (in moderation).
In 2016 I needed knee replacement surgery and had both done at once because my muscle tone was really good. What the doc and PTs were not expecting (and neither was I) was that my flexibility after 5 weeks was as fantastic as it was. At the six week appointment, the doc told the intern, “take a look at that, you’ll rarely see that bend after so short a time”.
Thanks Powershop staff for making all the other activities I do fun, rather than a muscle cramping chore.
