My Story – By Molly H.
When I first started I was 214 pounds as of July 14, 2013. I started a different weight loss program and went down to 207 pounds in August. On that weight loss program I wasn’t working out nor was I learning to eat healthy. I was only cutting my calories and portion sizes. So, I talked to my wonderful neighbor and trainer, Eric Peterson, and started the 24 day challenge. I worked out with Eric 3 times a week and did cardio 2 times a week by myself. I found the workouts challenging but rewarding. I felt really good when I was done and proud of myself that I finished the workout with the help of Eric encouraging me to push through it. The 24 day challenge was hard. I had to change a lot of my food selections and meal choices. I could tell my waist was getting smaller. My shirts were fitting way better and I felt a lot better in them. I could also tell my pants were getting bigger and were fitting better also. After the 24 day challenge I lost 5.8 pounds and 6.5 inches, lost 3% of body fat and gained 2.5 pounds of lean mass and lost 8.2 pounds of fat mass. Even though the 24 day challenge was hard I
wouldn’t trade it for anything because I realized so many things such as, how bad the food I was eating before, was for my health, how you can make healthy choices but yet still feel like you are really full, actually feeling clothes getting bigger was the best feeling in the world, and realizing I was capable of doing what I wanted, I just needed the right people to help me. As of December 4, 2013 I have lost a total of 30.6 pounds and 19.75 inches.
I am not done with this and hope to keep good nutrition and workout skills with me for the rest of my life! I am only 16 years old and this is just the beginning of the rest of my healthy life.
Molly I can’t express how proud of you I am! You are such an inspiration to me…yes to me and to everyone of my clients. You never stopped trying our quit you pushed thru and concurred! I take this as a great example for myself, my clients, and my family…I need to keep pushing thru with your enthusiasm and dedication. I’m am so happy that you are so young and have achieved so much success…you have your whole life ahead of you. These hard workouts, self control, and perseverance will overflow into every aspect of your life, your work, and your family. Heck they already have. You have been the spark to the fire that has ignited in your family to become healthier. Your dad is down over 30lb and the whole family is eating better and practicing better health!
